So Why Global Nomads?

So WHY are we living as global nomads? It's a dream we've had our entire married life. I knew when I met Duane that he was going to be the perfect adventure partner, and he saw the same in me. I knew when I met Duane that he was going to be the perfect adventure partner, and he saw the same in me. We started planning our overseas adventures from the very beginning.

We spent six years in other nations (Japan and Indonesia), but since then we've dreamed of one day being able to return to living overseas full-time. Of course we love our country of origin, the United States of America, but we live in a great big world with diverse cultures, fascinating people, and wondrous sites to behold.

Traveling the world and even living overseas broadens your perspective on life and stirs in your heart a deep sense of awe and wonder. It stretches you and challenges you in areas you didn't realize you'd have a hard time with. It's also quite humbling as you realize just how small and insignificant you are on this great big planet.

It also helps you understand yourself better as you seek to understand other cultures. And you gain a sense of gratitude as you become keenly aware that much of the world lives with much less than you've been given.

So that's why we've set out to be global nomads in this season of our lives!
